In 2020/2021, COVID-19 was sacrificed and the whole world suddenly stopped, and in the process, the festival world was devastated. The global pandemic has almost wiped out the entire festival calendar. Almost all music festivals have been forced to postpone or cancel. As a result, everyone from artists to festival organizers to production crews is in a very difficult situation and there is no clear end.
Despite these uncertain times, the psychedelic trance community has come together to support TribalReunion each other more than ever. Regular live streams, broadcasts, and virtual events have set new standards and continue to connect people around the world. As the world works together to overcome the pandemic, festival organizers are enthusiastically planning their return. Here are 10 international psychedelic trance festivals to look for in 2022!
- Boom Festival (Portugal)
Boom Festival 2021 was rescheduled for July 2022 due to the pandemic situation of covid-19. Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Boom Festival in 2022!

The Boom Festival is one of the largest and best psychedelic trance festivals in the world. Held every two years in Portugal, 50,000 visitors from more than 150 countries participate in a unique spiritual experience. The festival decided in April 2021 to reschedule the event due to the uncertainty of this year’s festival season. The Boom Festival will be held from July 22nd to 29th, 2022 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of marriage.
All tickets purchased will continue to be valid for the Boom Festival 2022 Edition. Refunds are not available as the festival depends on income to survive. However, if you have purchased a ticket for the 2020/2021 edition and are unable to participate in the 2022 edition, you will be able to sell your resale ticket on the third-party platform TicketSwap from May 3, 2021. - Psy-Fi Festival (Netherlands)
The Psy-Fi Tribal Reunion Festival is an annual collection of music and art in the Netherlands. The relatively new event grew rapidly and became the famous psychedelic trance festival. 80% of the participants are from overseas. This year’s edition goes on because the Psy-Fi team has come to the conclusion that under the conditions of the Dutch government festival, it is not possible to offer a festival with core values such as freedom, close ties, and high. - O.Z.O.R.A Festival (Hungary)
The O.Z.O.R.A Festival is one of the most influential psychedelic trance gatherings in the world. Based in Hungary’s Dadopsta, this seven-day event takes place each year in the first week of August and welcomes more than 30,000 visitors.
Unfortunately, the 2020 and 2021 editions were forced to cancel due to the covid-19 pandemic. The next edition will be held from August 1st to 7th, 2022. All purchased tickets will be valid at the next festival. If you have purchased a ticket but cannot attend the OZORA Festival 2022, you can transfer the ticket to another person. - VooV Experience (Germany)
VooV Experience is “Mother of All Gore Festivals”. Held every summer in Putlitz, Germany, the VooV Experience is one of the oldest psychedelic trance festivals in the country, attracting more than 20,000 visitors each July.
Germany banned large rallies until the end of October, forcing the annual summer VooV experience to be canceled. The organizers are still optimistic and aim to hold another event later this year, but so far no confirmation. All tickets will continue to be valid for next year’s edition, which will be held from September 17th to 20th, 2021. Refunds are available in the form of vouchers and can be used to purchase items from the festival’s online shop.
- ZNA Gathering (Portugal)
ZNA Gathering is a psychedelic trance festival held every other year in Portugal. ZNA gathering goes far beyond the usual psychedelic trance festival. This is a celebration of retrofuturism and a universal meeting place for trance enthusiasts in both old and new schools. A place where everyone can connect through dance, good atmosphere, great energy, and, of course, beautiful music. - Indian Spirit Festival (Germany)
The Indian Spirit Festival is the annual psychedelic trance festival that concludes the summer festival season. Held annually in August in Northern Germany, this five-day event offers 10,000 local and international guests a unique spiritual journey. The 2020 edition could not be held in Germany because all large rallies were banned until October. The Indian Spirit Festival will be held from August 26th to 30th, 2021. All tickets are still valid in the 2021 edition and ticket owners are encouraged to keep their tickets. If you are unable to attend, we can provide you with a long voucher that is valid at the festival.
